Davey Company Foundation
The Davey Company Foundation is proud to support academic programs preparing students for a career in the green industry. Established in 1880 and headquartered in Kent, Ohio, The Davey Tree Expert Company provides research driven tree services, grounds maintenance, and environmental consulting for residential, utility, commercial, and environmental partners in the U.S. and Canada. Scholarships are made possible through The Davey Company Foundation, a private foundation funded by The Davey Tree Expert Company. This scholarship is available to students in the Arborist Technology program at any Mid-State campus.

“I had been very involved with the Veteran’s of a Foreign War in Texas. Activities I have done for them were many and they included: helping with the Veteran’s Day parade, the two festivals in our town that the VFW was involved with, setup, use and staffing of the VFW food truck during the festivals, finding items to auction off and the auctioning off of said items the VFW’s Christmas fund, ect. Prior to the food truck being donated to the VFW, I would assit the Elk’s lodge with their booths during the festival. I would also help out with events at the Elk’s lodge. I am a member of the Student Arborist Society on campus. My work for veterans has really brought out a sense of community for me. I love doing things that make my community a better place for people to live and to help people in need.” – Kimberly Baity
