Eleanor Roberts

This is a $5000 annual award given to an individual pursuing Law Enforcement as a career. It will be awarded to one who has completed two years of a Law Enforcement Degree, as well as completion of the Recruit Academy. By then, we will be satisfied of one’s serious interest in the profession.This will be awarded in honor of Eleanor Roberts. Mrs. Roberts was murdered in November of 1984. Her killer, John Sarver was finally brought to justice in November of 2022. The conviction was accomplished as the result of efforts of the Wood County Sheriff’s Department and the Wisconsin Department of Justice, as well as the State Attorney General’s Office.
