Impact
“Thank you so much for your generosity in granting me the Fall 2023 John Wandrey Memorial Scholarship. I feel that this good deed is a wonderful reflection of the kind of person Mr. Wandrey was. I was so excited and moved to learn that I was granted this scholarship. This will give me such peace of mind during the school year, so I don’t have to worry about paying my bills and I can just focus on earning that 3.9 GPA. I have a 3.87 GPA right now. When I am finished with my degree in May of 2024, I plan to go on to do more schooling. I’m considering a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting at UWSP or earning another associate’s degree at Mid-State in Accounting. In my career, I want to change the way people look at a business. I want to do something good for my employees and for the country. My goal is not to make a lot of money. My goal is to help the most people that I can. I want to make a difference in people’s lives, just as you have made a difference in mine. While I attend Mid-State, I also have a full-time job at SentryWorld, as a server at their on-site restaurant. I’ve gained a lot of insight as to how employees should be treated. The managers treat their employees more like equals than in any other place I’ve worked. Even after a month of me being there, I was trusted to help make decisions on how to repair guest relationships. I plan to adopt this mindset in my own leadership role someday. Receiving this scholarship motivates and enables me to complete my degree and pass with flying colors. Thank you so much for your generosity. Sincerely, Aubrey D. Moldenhauer”
