Joshua Doherty

Joshua Doherty

This endowment fund, established in 2022, was established to aid a new or continuing student attending the Wisconsin Rapids Campus and enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits in the EMT-Paramedic, Firefighter technician or Paramedic Technician programs. Student must maintain a 3.5 GPA and reside in Wood or Juneau Counties. Joshua had a true passion for his involvement in the volunteer fire department. He passed before he could realize his dream of becoming a firefighter paramedic as the cost of the education made it difficult for Joshua to pursue that dream. In honor of his desire and passion, family and friends have established this scholarship to help another individual struggling to find the resources to get their degree.
Scholarship recipient, please address thank you note to Abbie Keller.

Impact

“Dear Mid-State Technical College Foundation, I am writing this letter to express my deepest gratitude for awarding me the scholarship for Joshua P. Doherty. It is an honor to be selected among so many talented and deserving candidates. This scholarship will significantly alleviate the financial burden on me and my family, allowing me to focus on my academic goals and future aspirations. I am extremely grateful for this assistance, as it will help me to achieve my dreams of becoming a EMT-Paramedic and making a positive impact in society. Once again, thank you so much for your generosity and support. I promise to work hard and make the most of this opportunity. I hope to one day give back to the community and provide assistance to those in need, just as you have done for me. Sincerely, Kyra Thompson”
