“Scholarship committee, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for funding this scholarship and choosing me as a recipient. This scholarship will help ease some financial stress during this school year. I appreciate your contribution. I am a nursing student and as many know, this major can be very stressful and requires much time and dedication. Nursing is very interesting to me and I enjoy expanding my knowledge each day I am in class or clinical. I currently work at a mental health and psychiatric facility and plan to continue my nursing career in this field. Mental health often has negative stereotypes relating to it and patients are often unable to advocate for themselves. I would like to be an advocate for these patients and have a positive influence on their overall wellbeing and mental health.
