Impact
“Dear Jerry Hanson, I would like to take the time to thank you so much for your generosity. It is an honor to have been chosen for the 2023 Vicki Hanson Memorial Scholarship. When I started at Mid-State Technical College, I had just quit my full-time job at the time to pursue a career in Respiratory Therapy. I had second thoughts about it going back at the time, but I had support from friends, and family to tell me to jump on the road to success! Since being a student here at MSTC I have met amazing people who have helped me with my education. Along the way, I have accomplished a few things. I was chosen to receive the DHS Allied Health Grant in the Spring of 2023. I was recognized for outstanding academic performance at MSTC Spring 2023 Part-Time Dean’s List. Another accomplishment was applying for a respiratory therapist assistant position at Marshfield Clinic in Weston, WI, and being offered the position. I look forward to pursuing my future goal of becoming a fully License Respiratory Therapist by the end of June 2024 and pursuing further education in a specialized field of respiratory therapy. I want to take the time again to thank you for helping me. I am truly grateful and appreciate the scholarship assistance you have given me. Thank you! Sincerely, Kathleen Yang (Kat) Future Respiratory Therapist”
