Ward Wolff

Ward Wolff

The scholarship was established to honor the life of Ward K. Wolff and to assist a student who is pursuing business courses by awarding a scholarship. Ward was a well-known businessman and real estate broker in Portage County. He devoted his life to the service of others. Education was very important to Ward. His grade-school teacher gave him advice that would change his life. She said, “Pick one thing you love to do – and learn everything you can about it. If you do this, you’ll be successful.” That’s exactly what Ward did. He attended Mid-State Technical College in 1966 for accounting and then UW-Stevens Point. Shortly thereafter, he began a career in banking. While working at the bank he furthered his education and graduated from UW-Madison’s School of Banking. Then in 1979 he purchased one of the first Centry 21 franchises in the state of Wisconsin. Ward listed and sold thousands of houses and properties during his long career in real estate.
