Dr. Shelly Mondeik, Presidents Award Scholarship

This fund, established in 2017 in honor of Dr. Shelly Mondeik’s Father; Robert DeMesy. Mr. DeMesy enjoyed 40 years of working in the field of road construction. Robert was a hard worker and with that came many opportunities in this industry. Including operating different pieces of heavy equipment, managing multiple highway projects across state lines and moving into senior management. Robert worked endlessly to support and mentor his road crews, managers and teams. He believed in education and the importance of it. This is a
$1,000.00 scholarship is for students enrolled in the Civil Engineering Technology – Highway Technician program and carrying a minimum 3.0 GPA. This is offered each spring for disbursement in two equal payments (September and February) during the academic year provided the students to maintain eligibility requirements and/or at the discretion of the selection committee.
