Joshua P. Doherty Scholarship

This endowment fund, established in 2022, was established to aid a new or continuing student attending the Wisconsin Rapids Campus and enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits in the EMT-Paramedic, Firefighter technician or Paramedic Technician programs. Student must maintain a 3.5 GPA and reside in Wood or Juneau Counties. Joshua had a true passion for his involvement in the volunteer fire department. He passed before he could realize his dream of becoming a firefighter paramedic as the cost of the education made it difficult for Joshua to pursue that dream. In honor of his desire and passion, family and friends have established this scholarship to help another individual struggling to find the resources to get their degree. This is a $250.00 scholarship initially that is offered each spring for disbursement in two equal payments (September and February) during the academic year provided the students maintain eligibility requirements and/or at the discretion of the selection committee.
